Pest Control Exam Cheating Policy

The Georgia Department of Agriculture (GDA) Pesticide Program has heavy consequences for cheating while you take any commercial examination offered by our program.

Cheating may be officially confirmed by any employee of our program, or any proctor administering a commercial examination on behalf of our program.

If you are found to be cheating during a commercial examination, you will not be allowed to complete the examination. You will also forfeit all fees associated with the examination.

If you have been found to be cheating, you are barred from taking any commercial examination offered by our program until both of these requirements are met:

  1. At least one year has passed since after the date of the exam where the cheating occurred.

  2. You have appeared before a Pesticide Program Panel and provided the Panel assurances that you will not repeat the cheating .

If you are found to be cheating, you are barred from taking any commercial examination offered by our program until both of these requirements are met:

  1. At least five years have passed since after the date of the exam where the second instance of cheating occurred.

  2. You have again appeared before the Pesticide Program Panel and provided the Panel assurances that you will not repeat the cheating.
