Farm to School

The Georgia Grown Farm to School program connects local farmers with schools to support student learning, nutrition, and agricultural awareness.

About Our Program

Georgia Grown's Farm to School program creates partnerships that connects production agriculture with Georgia's students and families. We help connect agriculture with every part of a student's school day. When a school participates in the farm to school program, students are able to understand where their food comes from, why that is important, and apply that knowledge to their daily lives.

Our Vision:

At the Georgia Department of Agriculture, our farm to school goal is to increase Georgia’s food commodities served in our schools, educate students about agriculture, and provide healthy and wholesome meals to students every day.
