- Hurricanes and Storms: The FDA provides excellent information for consumers and industry, including actions for before, during, and after hurricanes and storms. It is available on their website.
- Flooding Events: The FDA just released a new online resource page for producers of human and animal food affected by natural disasters. You can access the page and their guidance documents provided here.

About the Food Safety Division
Our Food Safety Division administers state laws, rules and regulations for retail and wholesale grocery stores, retail seafood stores and places in the business of food processing and plants which are currently required to obtain a license from the Commissioner under any other provision of law. This includes bakeries, confectioneries, fruit, nuts and vegetables stores and places of business, and similar establishments, mobile or permanent, engaged in sale of food primarily for consumption off the premises. This does not include "food service establishments" (Restaurants and Institutions).
