Doug Killingsworth is a native of Wrightsville, Ga. and grew up on his family’s farm in Johnson Co. Ga. where he and part of his family still live. Doug farmed for sixteen years before starting his career with the Georgia Department of Agriculture in 1994. He was an inspector at the Macon State Farmers Market and then transferred to the Fuel and Measures Division after one year. He has been with Fuel and Measures for twenty-four years and has held many positions from Ag. Inspector to Assistant Director during his career. He now serves as Division Director.
He is an active member of the Southern Weights and Measures Association where he has served on numerous committees. He is also an active member of the National Conference on Weights and Measures where he served on the Professional Development Committee.
He and his wife Debbie have two children, Betsy and Will, and one grandchild Audrey Grace. They enjoy family life on their farm along with raising livestock and hay. They attend Brewton Baptist Church in East Dublin, Ga.
