Final Weighted Average Poultry Prices

The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is $1.14 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2½ to 3 pound birds. 100% (representing 1,021 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of $1.03 to $1.19 with a final weighted average of $1.1287 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market is steady to firm and the live supply is adequate to short for a good to normal demand. Average weights are desirable to a little heavy. Estimated slaughter today is 4,720,000 head. This compares with 4,703,900 head last Monday.

Demand on line run tenders is good to normal, occasionally light; demand on skinless boneless breasts, boneless skinless thigh meat and leg quarters is good to normal, mostly good, occasionally light; demand on whole breasts and drumsticks is normal to good, mostly normal; and demand on thighs and wings is good to normal, mostly good.
