Final Weighted Average Poultry Prices

The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is $1.13 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2½ to 3 pound birds. 100% (representing 1,017 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of $1.01 to $1.1952 with a final weighted average of $1.1189 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market is steady to firm to occasionally weak and the live supply is adequate to short for a good to normal demand. Average weights are desirable to a little heavy. Estimated slaughter Monday was 3,789,400 head. This compares with 4,622,800 head last Monday.

Demand on most parts is good to normal, mostly good; with the exceptions of boneless skinless thigh meat which is good to normal, mostly good, occasionally light; and leg quarters which is normal to good, mostly normal, occasionally light.
