Final Weighted Average Poultry Prices

The Georgia f.o.b. dock quoted price on broilers and fryers for this week's trading is $1.1550 based on full truck load lots of ice pack USDA grade "A" sized 2½ to 3 pound birds. 100% (representing 1,022 loads) of the loads offered have been confirmed within a range of 81¢ to $1.21 with a final weighted average of $1.1342 f.o.b. dock or equivalent. The market is steady to firm to occasionally weak and the live supply is adequate to short to occasionally long for a good to normal to occasionally light demand. Average weights are desirable. Estimated slaughter today is 4,750,400 head. This compares with 4,721,400 head last Monday.

Demand on most parts is good to normal, mostly good, occasionally light; with the exceptions of whole breasts and drumsticks which is normal to good, mostly normal; and thighs and wings which is good to normal, mostly good.
