Using Pesticides Wisely: Required training to use auxin pesticides

  • All applicators of Engenia, Tavium, or XtendiMax are required to attend the 2021 UPW required training to use auxin pesticides. UPW training is required every two years. New registrations of these products became effective 10/27/20, and all persons who desire to use the newly registered products must complete UPW training regardless if training was completed before 10/27/20.

  • For Enlist One and Enlist Duo, those persons in-charge of in-season applications to tolerant cotton and soybean who attended training during 2020 are NOT required to attend the 2021 UPW training (again, all are welcome). Starting 2021, UPW training will be required every two years for the Enlist products.

  • The training will focus on helping applicators make wise decisions when applying not only 2,4-D and dicamba but all pesticides.

Paraquat Dichloride Training for Certified Applicators

  • As required by EPA's Paraquat Dichloride Human Health Mitigation Decision and amended paraquat dichloride (a.k.a. paraquat) product labels, certified applicators must successfully complete an EPA-approved training program before mixing, loading, and/or applying paraquat. The training provides important information about paraquat's toxicity, new label requirements and restrictions, and the consequences of misuse.
