Kashi GOLEAN Powder Chocolate Energy Shake Mix recalled for milk not on the label

Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin is alerting Georgians to the recall of a chocolate energy shake mix that may contain milk as an ingredient.  

Kashi Company, LaJolla, CA, is recalling a limited number of canisters of its Kashi GOLEAN Powder Chocolate Energy Shake Mix because they  contain a milk ingredient not listed on the label. People who have allergies to milk products run the risk of an allergic reaction if they consume this product.

The product, packaged in a 14.8 ounce canister, has the bar code 18627 71000.  The Better if Used by Dates are between JAN 17 2009 and NOV 15 2009.  This product information is stamped on the bottom of the canister.

The product was distributed to grocery, health food, pharmacy and on-line retailers nationwide.
