Some sausage products recalled for ingredients not listed on the label

Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin alerts consumers to the recall of a sausage product that may be mislabeled and have an ingredient not listed on the product label.
Pampanga Food Corp., Anaheim, Calif., is recalling about 28,470 pounds of frozen skinless sausage cooked cured pork longanisa. The product was packaged with an incorrect label and may contain allergens, anchovies and/or sardines.
Anchovies and sardines are known potential allergens and are not listed on the packaging as a product ingredient.
The sausage product recalled is:
• 10-ounce frozen packages of "PAMPANGA Skinless Sausage COOKED CURED PORK LONGANISA." The front of each label bears a package code ranging from "03043" to "03790," as well as the establishment number "EST. 405" inside the USDA mark of inspection.
Production dates range from January 7 to September 22, 2009. The product was distributed to retail stores nationwide.
