The Reading, Mich. firm is recalling all lots of its Soft Mexican Cheeses because of possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination, which can cause an uncommon but potentially fatal disease, Listeriosis.
The cheese products were distributed to retails stores and delis in Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin.
The soft Mexican cheese sold under the name 'Aguas Calientes' is listed as:

Listeriosis can cause high fever, severe headache, neck stiffness and nausea. It also can cause miscarriages and stillbirths. People experiencing these problems should seek immediate medical attention.
Consumers should return this product to place of purchase. Those with questions may call Salvador Torres, manager, Torres Hillsdale Country Cheese LLC at 517-368-5990.
