Terry Coleman, Deputy Commissioner

Considered one of Georgia’s foremost authorities on state government, Terry Coleman spent 34 years in the General Assembly. Dr. C. Carter Black, III grew up on a farm in Ringgold, Georgia and graduated from Ringgold High School. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture from the University of Georgia in 1965 and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from the University of Georgia in 1968. More>>
Oscar Garrison, Assistant Commissioner
Consumer Proctection Division
Oscar Garrison is a 14-year veteran with the Georgia Department of Agriculture; Garrison joined the agency in 1994 as a sanitarian in the Consumer Protection Division where he advanced to senior sanitarian and then to senior operations analyst, where he served as training officer for the division. Bobby Harris, Assistant CommissionerMarketing Division
Bobby Harris was born in McDuffie County GA. His career started in 1969 when he became the Tax Commissioner of McDuffie County. He remained in this position for 16 years. In 1985 he resigned to run for the GA House of Representatives where he served for 10 years. More>>
Dr. James Sutton, Assistant Commissioner
Plant Industry Division
Dr. James Sutton was born and raised in Griffin, Georgia. He is a graduate of both Griffin High School and Gordon College. He received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degrees in Agronomy from the University of Georgia in 1982 and 1984 respectively. More>>
