Master Chao Apricots and Advance Brand Coconut Gel
Today under voluntary recall - may contain allergens
Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin announced today that two products distributed by Ho’s Trading Inc., Brooklyn, NY, are being voluntarily recalled due to undeclared sulfites - a preservative - in the products that are not listed on the label.
Irvin says the six-ounce uncoded Master Chao Brand Supreme Apricot packaged in a plastic container and the uncoded Advance Brand Coconut Gel, packaged in a glass jar, are both being withdrawn from sale due to undeclared sulfites.
“These products, sold nationally, could cause consumers with specific allergies to become sick and potentially seriously ill,” said Irvin. “I urge consumers to always exercise caution in reading content labels carefully and checking expiration dates. I have instructed inspectors to remove these products from retail and wholesale distribution.”
Consumers who have purchased the recalled Master Chao Brand Supreme Apricot and the Advance Brand Coconut Gel can return the product to their place of purchase for a full refund, Irvin says.
