Pursuant to Section 4-13-7 of the Official Code of Georgia
Annotated (Humane Care for Equines Act), the Georgia Department
of Agriculture will conduct a live auction on the following equine
as grade horses, to wit:

 “Zahra” 3 year old; chestnut Arabian mare
 “Azizza” 2 ½ year old; gray Arabian mare
 “Sheba” 12 year old; white Arabian mare
 “Cinch” 1 year old; bay grade gelding
 “Lasso” 1 year old; bay Mustang cross gelding
 “Coop” 9 year old; red leopard Appaloosa gelding
 “Tanya” 3 year old; bay roan Appaloosa mare
 “Cupid” 6 yr old; chestnut Appendix mare
 “Fuji” 12 year old; bay Quarter Horse mare
 “Paris” 20 year old; gray Mustang mare
 “Rammstein” 20 year old; bay Thoroughbred gelding
 “Sahara” 18 year old; bay Mustang mare
 “Sprinkles” 4 year old; sorrel Paint cross mare
 “Wack” 18 year old; liver chestnut Mustang gelding
 “Jasmine” 13 year old; bay Arabian Mare
 “Aramus” 5 year old; chestnut Arabian gelding
 “Basil” 2 year old; bay Arabian gelding
 “Gondar” 4 year old; chestnut Arabian gelding
 “Latif” 2 year old; gray Arabian gelding
 “Naji” 2 year old; gray Arabian gelding
 “My Deliverance” 12 year old; palomino Quarter Horse mare
 “Nizar” 2 year old; bay Arabian gelding
 “Serafix” 2 year old; chestnut Arabian gelding
 “Alya” 2 year old; rose gray Arabian mare
 “Alina” 2 year old; bay Arabian mare
 “Bint” 4 year old; gray Arabian mare
 “Isis” 5 year old, bay Arabian mare
 “Kadaisa” 4 year old; bay Arabian mare
 “Layla” 2 year old; gray Arabian mare
 “Malika” 11 year old; bay Arabian mare
  “Raja” 2 year old; gray Arabian mare
 “Xena” 2 year old; gray Arabian mare
 “Halo” 13 year old; black Paint mare
 “Rose” 16 year old; red roan grade mare
 “Wings” 5 month old; bay tobiano Paint gelding
 “Thor” 5 month old; cremello grade gelding

The auction will be held at the Georgia Department of Agriculture Jasper County Impound Facility in Mansfield, GA at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2008. The said equine may be inspected at the facility from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2008. Pictures of the equine will be posted when available on the Department website: www.agr.georgia.gov. For directions to location, call the Equine Section at (404) 656-3713. (Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) Sealed bids will not be accepted on these equine.

No  representation  is made regarding any registration or possible registration of  said equine  nor  of  the  physical condition  of  said  equine.   Any documentation  in  possession of the  Department  of  Agriculture regarding  registration,  physical condition or  past  veterinary treatment of said equine is available upon request; however,  not withstanding  the  availability of such  documentation,  or  lack thereof, or verbal information given to the Department, said sale is for the equine on an "as is" basis without any  representation regarding  registration, physical condition or acceptable use  of the animal. The Department reserves the right to add or withdraw equines to or from any auction.  The successful bidder must be prepared to tender the price by cashiers check or money order and move the animal from the impoundment facility by 6 p.m. on Monday, September 22, 2008.  Payment may be made at the time the animal is picked up.

If a successful bidder fails to tender the price as required, the Georgia Department of Agriculture may refuse to accept any other bids made by the successful bidder at this auction or any future auction. Management reserves the right to withhold loading if transport trailer is deemed unsafe for occupancy or road use.

These horses are subject to periodic inspection by the Georgia Department of Agriculture for a period of 12 months.

Take I-20 East toward Augusta.
Get off on Exit 98 (Highway 11)
Turn Right and go through Mansfield to Charles Elliot Wildlife State Park.
Turn Left as though you were going into the park.
Go about 1 mile. You will see a barn on the left.


Coming from Augusta toward Atlanta on I-20

Take I-20 West to Exit 98 (Highway 11)
Turn left – REFER TO ABOVE DIRECTIONS.

Headed North from Macon

75 N  to Forsyth, exit 187 to GA Hwy 83 N to Monticello
Take Ga Hwy 11 out of Monticello toward Mansfield
Turn right as though you were going into Charles Elliot Wildlife State Park.
Go about 1 mile. You will see a barn on the left.

Coming from Gainesville

Go east on I-285 to East I-20
Go to exit 98 (Highway 11)
Turn Right and go through Mansfield to Charles Elliot Wildlife State Park.
Turn Left as though you were going into the park.
Go about 1 mile. You will see a barn on the left.

Coming from Columbus

I-85 N to 285 E to I-20 E.
Go to exit 98 (Highway 11) 
Turn Right and go through Mansfield to Charles Elliot Wildlife State Park.
Turn Left as though you were going into the park.
