MB - Farm Uses Dept. Logo to Create Corn Maze

Georgia Department of Agriculture created its “Georgia Grown ®” logo to help promote farm fresh food in the state.  Producer participants in the program can use the logo on their products to help consumers in identifying Georgia grown farm products.

One such program participant, Jaemor Farms, located in Alto near Gainesville, certainly is helping to promote its Georgia Grown ® peaches, apples, tomatoes, pumpkins and other crops by using the logo for the design of its cornfield maze adventure, “Maize Quest®.”  The six-acre maze has over 5,000 feet of pathways cut through living cornstalks and stations along the way provide visitors with fun facts and history about Georgia agriculture.

Maize Quest ® is open now through Nov. 14, Friday.-Saturday, 10 a.m... – 11 p.m., and Sunday 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. Tickets are: adults $8; children 4-7, $7; and children 3 and under are admitted free.  For more information, contact 770-869-3999.
